Review by hotel critic
I recently had the chance to stay at the Tamayoz for a night on my way to Medina, and it gave me a lot to think about regarding luxury versus value in accommodations. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room—definitely a plus for an archaeologist used to cramped digs! The hotel’s location is convenient, nestled close to various shops and only a stone’s throw from the airport and Haramain train station, making it easy for travelers. While the room was decent, don’t expect complimentary amenities. No free tea or bottled water here, but I was prepared for that. A downside was the swimming pool—completely dry during my visit, which was disappointing and limits leisure options. Housekeeping was efficient, and the 24-hour reception made checking in and out hassle-free. Wi-Fi worked well, valuable for anyone looking to catch up on research or stay connected. If you prioritize space and location, Tamayoz offers a fair balance of luxury and cost, but be aware that it may lack some finer touches. Would I recommend it? Sure, but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
